Overview

Healthy professional boundaries are essential to ethical practice, client welfare, workplace well-being, and sustainable helping relationships. Yet professionals often encounter situations in which the line between a healthy boundary crossing and an unethical boundary violation is not immediately clear.

This course explores the ethical principles and boundary practices that protect clients, professionals, and organizations across helping professions. Participants will examine the foundations of healthy boundaries and the personal, cognitive, emotional, and environmental barriers that may interfere with establishing and maintaining them.

Through practical examples and guided reflection, participants will learn a step-by-step framework for identifying personal and professional boundaries, recognizing limiting beliefs, communicating expectations clearly, and implementing appropriate consequences when boundaries are repeatedly violated.

The training will also address common workplace boundary challenges involving workload management, communication, technology use, relationships with colleagues and supervisors, and work-life balance.
