2026 Adopt-A-Social-Worker Breakfast

Investing in the Future of Social Work Join SWAG Alliance Foundation for an invitation-only breakfast focused on strengthening and sustaining the next generation of social workers.

Why This Matters

Every day, social workers support children, families, older adults, veterans, schools, healthcare systems, and communities facing complex challenges. Yet many emerging social workers enter the profession carrying significant financial burdens while navigating the path to licensure, professional development, and long-term career sustainability. The Adopt-A-Social-Worker Initiative was created to help remove barriers and create opportunities for emerging professionals to thrive. When we invest in social workers, we invest in stronger communities.

About the Initiative

A Story of Impact

SWAG helped me at a time in my life where I desperately needed support from my community to realize the hard work in pursuing my MSW degree. I was relying on unemployment after being laid off from my full time job and field placement due to retaliation. I knew something like SWAG had to exist and I was so relieved when I finally found it. I would have had to delay employment and likely been in a significantly worse financial situation than I already was in. I continue to be so grateful and recommend SWAG to other social workers. – Colby Bell, LSW
